Punya Mishra and Sonya Gunnings-Moton Receive Awards of Excellence

We love to acknowledge well-deserved awards! The MSU Urban STEM family would like to congratulate both Punya Mishra and Sonya Gunnings-Moton. Both have recently received prestigious university awards.
Punya Mishra received the William J. Beal Outstanding Faculty Award. The award is given for distinguished contributions to the fields of education and research.

Sonya Gunnings-Moton is also being honored for exceptional support and encouragement in embracing diversity. She is the director of the Urban Immersion Fellowship program. She will be accepting an Excellence in Diversity Award on behalf of the program.
