Virtual Reality in the Classroom

We’ve all heard students say “I’m done!”  Well, Nancy Ibarra has a fun solution…virtual reality in the classroom.  Her students have access to two sets of Google Cardboard. When her students finish their work early, they are allowed to use these devices.  They step into the world of virtual reality by using their personal cell phones. Students simply download the Google Cardboard App and their adventure begins!

Ibarra says the kids are absolutely amazed the first time they experience virtual reality using Google Cardboard.  She describes the learning experience as “jaw dropping” and their excitement continues to be so fun to witness!  She’s even had a few kids ask her to order them one for their personal use if they pay for it themselves!  “It’s just so nice to see 7th and 8th graders get so excited with a new toy like this,” Ibarra shares.
